Procedure for Admission in Russian Medical Colleges

Step wise guide for Admission:

Step 1: Getting the Right Information

All aspiring students willing to pursue MBBS in Russia should visit our office where all the essential information is given to the students which includes the various faculties available and about Russia in general.

Step 2: Application to GEC

An application form has to be filled by the student to get registered with us. The documents to be attached by the applicant are –

  • Application form (provided by Global Educational Consultancy -GEC)
  • Copy of your passport (pages with the photo, date of birth and passport expiry date)
  • Certificate of higher secondary education with academic transcript for undergraduate programs / higher education degree with academic transcript for postgraduate programs

The seats are limited and hence are allotted strictly on a first come first served basis. The final decision depends at the discretion of the university, as per availability and marks in the 12th standard examination.

Step 3: Apply for Passport

Once the documents are submitted to GEC (Global Educational Consultancy) the student should apply for his/her passport (if not ready). The issuance of the passport normally takes around 45 days and any delay in applying would delay the departure of the student to Russia or he/she won’t get the admission.

Step 4: Receiving the Admission Letter

An admission letter will be received by GEC from the University after application has been accepted, confirming the reservation of a seat for the student at the University.

Step 5: Application for the MCI Eligibility (for MBBS Course)

All medical students are also required to apply for the eligibility certificate as required by the Medical Council of India. Global Educational Consultancy will assist you for applying the same.

Step 6: Stamping the Visa on Passport

Upon receiving the “Invitation Letter for Study”, the student should refer to the Embassy/General Consulate of the Russian Federation in his / her country in order to apply for a student visa. Usually the following documents are required:

  • Valid Passport
  • Duly completed and signed Visa Application form
  • Two passport size identical Photos 35 mm x 45 mm with white background
  • Visa support letter from university or college and copy of admission letter from the university or college
  • AIDS certificate (HIV test)

Step 7: Departure to Russia

The student is expected to complete his packing and make all necessary arrangements to travel as per the date intimated by GEC. They should also verify that all the necessary documentation has been duly completed.
